One of the features of borosilicate glass is that it's heat resistant (like Pyrex) and it can be made thinner and lighter, which makes it more durable than soda lime glass. Borosilicate glass is premium quality food grade glass and it can withstand some heat like a reusable coffee cup for hot liquids, but they are not fully insulated like a thermos is.

What lid options are there for my glass water bottle?

The glass water bottles we stock only come with a screw lid. They are a renewable bamboo lid on the outside. In the Sol range, the underside of the lid that touches your water is stainless steel, so there's no plastic touching your water. There are no straw options in glass bottles, for that, you will need to go to our stainless steel water bottle category. The screw lids wont leak when they're on properly.

What's the best way to clean a glass water bottle?

Since they're see through, the best way to clean a glass water bottle is just with a bottle brush and hot soapy water. They are top rack dishwasher safe, but it's hard for the dishwasher to really get inside that small opening and clean properly. Most people use the dishwasher for convenience, but you won't get a good clean. Doing it by hand will give you better results.
