This is a tough category and still in its infancy, but the biggest and easiest leaps come from 2 main areas.
The first is compostable bags to put your rubbish in. We order ours in small batches so they’re not sitting on our shelves for too long before they’re in your home. Buy these in your regular shopping as you need them and don’t stockpile them because the very thing that makes them great, their ability to compost, also gives them a shelf life of 1 to 2 years.
The second area is cleaning tools. From scrubbing brushes to dish brushes, cloths and sponges, there is simply no need to buy a dish brush from the supermarket with a plastic handle and nylon bristles. Ours have replacement heads available and all our cloths can go in your compost when you’re done.
