Are your lunch boxes leak proof?
Most packed lunches don't need a leakproof lunchbox, a simple sandwich, salad and some veggie sticks are suitable to put in a lunch box without a silicone seal. When you have sauces and liquids in your meal, choose something with a silicone seal as there are plenty of meals for little kids, big kids and adults that are best packed in a leak proof lunch box. We always mention when the boxes are leakproof so check the name and the product descriptions.

How do I keep food hot on the go?
Keeping food cold in a regular stainless steel lunch box is easy, but keeping food warm requires a special kind of container, a food flask. Food flasks, or insulated food jars, are 2 layers of vacuum insulated stainless steel, like an insulated water bottle is, and they're designed to keep heat in. The wider the lid, the harder they are to open and the more heat can escape, so you will find most brands are a little wider than a drink bottle and not super wide like a bowl. Klean Kanteen have a loop handle on their lid to make them easier to open.

Kids can't resist food that's visually appealing. Bentos are usually in a brief case style design the lid staying attached so it can't get lost and the bpa free plastic versions are usually easier to open and close for small hands.
