A really tall order when searching for organic skin care is finding products that are suited to sensitive skin and sensitive noses. Why? A lot of the products used to preserve the formulas are essential oils. This can make life difficult for people with sensitive skin and sensitive noses, and I know this only too well because I'm one of them. It's a little easier in natural products that may contain a trace amount of chemical preservative, but for certified organic, it's a rare find. It is for this reason that I was really pleased to road test and then stock the Zkin Organics range which replaced the Pure & Green Organics skin care that was discontinued earlier this year.

Their Sensitive Skin prescription contains 4 products, a cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream and a masque. Here's a brief rundown on each one.

Zkin Calming Cream Cleanser
 This is a non-lathering cream cleanser suited to sensitive skin and with a gentle citrus scent, is easily tolerated by those with a sensitive nose. It also means it's suitable for men without smelling like a flower garden all day. It leaves your skin feeling nourished and soothed even before you take the next step to moisturise your skin. If your skin happens to be inflamed, the anti-inflammmatory ingredients aloe vera and colloidal oatmeal will help soothe any issues you have.

Zkin Relief Moisturiser
For use both day and night, this is suited to those with either sensitive skin or anyone with dry or itchy skin. It's easily tolerated by those with normal skin and men too. If you have oily skin, your'e best to grab the formulation specifically designed for oily skin. The star ingredient is cotton thistle which promotes skin regeneration.

Zkin Line Smoothing Serum
This is optional in your regular daily regime. It's designed for those who want to minimise expression lines and wrinkle lines. It's suitable for all skin types, so if you're in a house with more than one person using the brand, this product can be shared by everyone. It's safe to use around your eyes as an eye cream to prevent wrinkles, but can also be used on crows feet, frown lines and anywhere expression lines appear. It's a gentle alternative to injectibles like Botox.

Zkin Brightening & Hydrating Masque
This is the masque for those with normal, dry or sensitive skin. It smells like chocolate from the star anti-inflammatory ingredient cacao powder which help to smooth the skin. And it does. We gave this product a thorough road test before adding to the store. It also has ingredients to boost collagen support. Use once or twice a week as needed.

The Hydrating Mist and Clarifying Exfoliator is both also suitable for most with sensitive skin types. We recommend patch testing or purchasing a sample sachet.
