It is important when using natural shampoo and conditioner bars like our best selling Beauty and The Bees range to consider whether you need to add a 'rinse' step to that routine. Of course you rinse the shampoo out with water, and you rinse the conditioner out also (if used) but here we are talking about a specially formulated product to rinse the hair and scalp and remove any last traces of shampoo or conditioner that you may have missed. It also helps to remove any styling product residue, helps detangle the hair and adds moisture to the hair and scalp.

A specially formulated rinse can be a wonderful product addition to your natural hair care routine also to help ease irritation for those who suffer from itching, sore and flaking scalp. It can also stimulate hair growth; strengthen and create healthy hair; improve texture and shine; soothe; and balance the skin.

There are two products available, one with vinegar, and one without.  Both are amazing products and each does a similar thing with slightly different ingredients.

Beauty & The Bees Conditioner Rinse 500ml - Tasmanian Apple Cider & Herb

Based on the old European way, Beauty and the Bees have taken their Tasmanian apple cider vinegar that is used in most of their products and enriched it by adding the concentrated herbal extracts of nettle, marigold, and horsetail.  It is incredibly moisturising and perfect for people with dandruff, eczema or dry skin.  It will also add gloss and shine to your hair leaving it easy to brush.  If you are looking for a bamboo hair brush we recommend Bass Brushes or for a more premium option (even though made of plastic) you cant go past a Mason Pearson brush that will last you a lifetime.

As a HAIR or BODY rinse:

Add 2 tablespoons to 1 litre of water and slowly and carefully and slowly pour over the hair and scalp after shampooing and conditioning. Work through the hair from the scalp to the ends as you are pouring it over. Note using a conditioner bar is optional - if your hair doesn't need it then you can skip that step.

The Tasmanian apple cider and herb conditioning rinse is also great for the skin all over your body, so don't worry if it goes all over you - if it does that is great! Rinsing with warm water is optional, and please do remember the vinegar smell will disappear after a few minutes.

Beauty & The Bees Apple Silk Clarifying Rinse 40g

Alternatively if you do not like using vinegar because of the smell but want similar results then try the Apple Silk Clarifying Rinse. It is also great for those who are transitioning to shampoo and conditioner bars as a way to remove the silicone plasticisers that you find in commercial conditioning products. It brightens and softens your hair, smoothing the hair cuticles which can get roughened by washing, to have them flat and smooth for maximum shine.

This clarifying rinse comes to you in a tin in powder form so is also a perfect travel product.

Ingredients are : Citric acid (corn/citrus source); malic acid (from apples); silk powder; herbal extracts of horsetail, nettle and calendula to soothe the scalp.

Over 40 rinses per tin, you use 1/4 of a teaspoon in 2 litres of water as a final rinse in exactly the same way as you use the Apple Cider Vinegar Conditioning Rinse discussed above.
