NEW: Dr Organic Natural Deodorant
The weather is starting to heat up and now is the time to ensure that if you're using a natural deodorant, that you have one that really works on those stinking hot days. We already have an extensive range of natural and organic deodorants to choose from, but this week we have added two more from the Dr Organic range that are specifically designed for sensitive armpits.
In previous years, other versions of Dr Organic deodorant have won deodorant of the year in Nature & Health Magazine (the Manuka Honey) and I have read testimonials from Naturopaths in a private forum who all swear that it's the best deodorant they've tried. While we know many people give that personal award to the Black Chicken Deodorant (a paste) or the Eco Tan Deodorant (a spray),we have found that different customers find different natural deodorants work best for them, so it is worth giving a couple a try until you find the one that suits your body the best.
Each of these new Dr Organic Deodorant's have soothing Aloe Vera as a base ingredient, along with a selection of herbs and essential oils to help keep smells at bay and also a hero ingredient that make them suitable to nourish and heal sensitive skin. These ingredients are coconut oil and Moroccan argan oil. Both are ingredients that feature heavily in all manner of products in our Hair, Face & Body range. Both ingredients can also be purchased on their own in our store, and coconut oil also forms the basis of most 'DIY natural deodorant' recipes and in young children, can be used on its own as a mild organic deodorant.
While testing out deodorants to find the one that works best for you, it's important to remember that natural deodorants are not designed to stop you from sweating, that's what an antiperspirant does. When you sweat, your body is detoxing, and interfering with this detox is not healthy. Natural deodorants work by stopping the sweat from growing bacteria, and it is this bacteria that smells.
