Do you match your eye shadow to your outfit, your eye colour or a bit of both? When selecting any natural makeup product with colour, while matching your colours to your outfit is pretty easy, it's not always easy to know which colours suit your eyes.

Natural Eye Shadow for blue eyes

Option 1 - natural earthy tones with a hint of orange can work well. Orange and blue are two colours that balance off each other nicely.

Option 2 - this is one suitable for eyes that have a tinge of green or are actually hazel - try bright blues and greens, think a rich blue sky and a soft and light green.

Option 3 - for right blue eyes without any hint of green in the colour - try deeper and cooler shades of blue complemented with purples, violets and balanced out with deep grey and bright silvers for highlights.

Natural Eye Shadow for brown eyes

Option 1 - to make brown eyes pop, a combination of rich shades of blues and greens work well along with rich purples for contrast.

Option 2 - for a more subtle approach, gentle earthy tones work really well along with gentle & dusty pink shades.

Natural Eye Shadow for green eyes

Option 1 - green eyes that have a warmth to their colour are best complemented with similar shades, think khaki, olive green and soft browns.

Option 2 - to make warm green eyes pop, rich and luxurious pinks, maroon and burgundy shades work really well.

Option 3 - if you're a cooler green with a hint of blue (again bordering on hazel), the bright blues and greens we mentioned for blue eyes in option 2 are your best pick.

Removing your eye makeup at the end of the day

Remember, using good quality natural skin care is recommended to have a smooth canvas to apply your makeup on. Just as important as having a nice clean canvas at the start of the day, it's important to remove your makeup at the end of the day too. You can usually just use a facial cleanser for most of your needs, but if you're wearing an organic mascara or a lot of eye shadow, you probably want to use either an organic makeup remover or coconut oil to make sure you remove it all. If you're a frequent eye makeup wearer, you may wish to invest in a dedicated organic eye makeup remover, but it's usually not necessary if you already have a pot of coconut oil handy. Jojoba oil does the job nicely too.
