I have been busy in our photo studio again, this time shooting the eye makeup. Today the Inika Organic Eyeliner Pencils were added to store after each one was carefully photographed and colour matched. Above you can see a photo of all 9 of the pencils in a row. In order from left to right they are:-

  • Black Caviar
  • Coco
  • Emerald
  • Gold Khaki
  • Graphite
  • Indigo
  • Pure Purple
  • Purple Minx
  • White Crystal

All the natural makeup in the Inika range is certified vegan and certified cruelty free (as is our favourite natural nail polish from Kester Black). The eyeliner pencils are certified organic as well and are a suitable formula for those with sensitive eyes. The pencils are handcrafted using natural plant based ingredients and minerals to colour the pencils. A good test for an organic eyeliner is to see how well it draws on your hand from being cold. Some pencils are a little hard and drag. Some pencils need a bit of a 'warm up' before they glide, but the Inika pencils are soft and glide on easily from the first use. They give long lasting colour all day, and give an even depth of colour as you draw your line.

In this video, you are shown how to use the cream eye shadow as a base for a smokey eyes look. Then, with the Black Caviar, you can see how easy it is to smudge colour on to the eyelid, blend it in with the eyeshadow brush and then get the smallest amount of powdered eyeshadow and gently press it in to the pencil base colour that has been applied to the eyelid. The pencil is then used again to create a line on the top lid at the lash line and it is slightly smudged with a 'just damp' angle brush. The left over pencil on the brush is then used to create a subtle blur on the lower lid. Finish the look with a natural mascara. For a bold look we recommend the new Inika Long Lash Vegan Mascara in Black.
