Ever Eco are an Australian company known for producing a range of reusables. Most people know them as one of the first brands to sell stainless steel straws. Their range has now expanded to include a reusable shopping bag, bamboo cutlery and also a range of bentos and lunch boxes.

The Ever Eco snack box is a durable stainless steel lunch box that's 580ml in volume. Now available in three different internal configurations which means what ever you want to put in them, there is a solution for you.  At 580ml this is on the smaller size scale of our bento boxes and so we refer to them as "snack" sized bentos for an adult, or they can likely fit a whole lunch in them for a child, and then add a piece of fruit and possibly a snack bar to the insulated lunch bag and they are set for a day at school.

Ever Eco Snack Bento

Made from food grade stainless steel, the entire lunch box, lid and packaging is 100% plastic free.

The lid sits firmly in place like an old style biscuit tin and is simple to remove even for small kids hands. Because of this, they are best packed snugly in to their lunch bag and not allowed too much freedom to bounce around loosely in a bag in transit. Another option that we find effective is putting a spare hair esastic around the box to ensure it stays closed. Note this also means they are not leakproof so are not advisable to use for salads with dressing, yoghurt, or chopped up watermelon and similar food items that may have excess liquid during the day.

The snack boxes are 16cm x 11.5cm x 4cm and rectangle shaped with rounded corners.

This version is a two compartment bento box. The bento dividers are a permanent fixture in the lunch box and each section is half of the total available space.

This version below is a three compartment bento box, with a 1/2, 1/4, 1/4 spacing. The bento dividers are a permanent fixture in the lunch box.

If you are looking for something a little bigger than this then you can view our full range of stainless steel lunch boxes on our site. Cheeki have some larger boxes that are completely plastic free, as do Green Essentials. You also have the option of having double layer lunch boxes in some brands which allows you to separate out morning tea and lunch, or simply for bigger appetites.
Lunchbots also have several options for stainless steel lunch boxes, most of which are plastic free. Some do have clip on plastic covers to go over the stainless steel to personalise your box, but the plastic still never touches the food.
