Inika Organic was the first certified organic makeup brand in Australia. They are still the highest certified beauty brand in the world. In 2022, they re-branded and changed a lot of their packaging to significantly reduce the amount of plastic used. Their natural lipstick is now predominantly metal casing. Their original eye shadows were in plastic pots or compacts, now they are packed in quads in sustainable cardboard packaging. They are still sturdy and have a magnet closure and a mirror.

Inika Flawless Foundation & BB Cream

Even out the skin tone on even the most sensitive skin using one of 4 products in the Inika range. Inika's Organic Liquid Foundation gives full coverage with the kind of hydration usually only found in organic skincare. For a more airbrushed look, step down to the BB Cream which has a lightweight feel and high performance. The BB Cream will hydrate your skin using Prickly Pear Oil alongside collagen boosting Jojoba oil. The Inika liquid products suit all skin types. For those who prefer powder, a loose and solid powder foundation is also included in the range.

Inika Mascara

There are 4 distinctly different natural mascara choices in the Inika range. Long Lash is by far the most popular choice. The formula and the brush are designed to boost length, volume and span in one swipe. Castor seed oil also helps healthy lash growth. Bold is a buildable mascara for increased volume that has a brush capable of separating and coating each lash. Curvy is built with a lengthening brush that also curls the lashes as it coats. Purity uses 71% certified organic ingredients and has a traditional tapered wand. For lash care, based on Black Castor Seed Oil, this repairing oil thickens and strengthens hair while stimulating hair follicles for hair growth.

The Inika Ingredients Promise

Like many natural brands, it's what they say NO to that makes them stand out. There are no synthetic ingredients in the range at all. No petrochemicals, no mineral oils. They say no to all the parabens and sulphates, polyethylene glycol and polysorbates too. There's no talc, no bismuth and no cheap and unnecessary fillers. All fragrances and colours are of natural origin. There are no chelating agents based on EDTA and its salts.

Inika Makeup Sustainability

Inika makeup has always been pure and sustainable when it comes to ditching the synthetic ingredients and using quality natural vegan ingredients, but 2022 saw them take a step forward in taking the leap towards more sustainable packaging, which isn't always easy in the makeup category.

Inika Organic are certified plastic neutral. What does this mean? For every kilo of plastic they use, a kilo is collected and recycled. Their new packaging is made from 90% sustainable and reused materials like aluminium and glass. Their virgin plastic use, as a result of this, was reduced by 84% and 4.7 tonnes of recycled materials and plastic were collected and repurposed to make fence posts for farming communities.
