It’s what Surfmud leaves out that makes it stand out over mainstream chemical sunscreens

There’s no chemical UV filters in Surfmud, which can not only react with people’s skin, but also our reefs, so the zinc oxide in place of chemical filters is what makes this formula reef safe. There’s no artificial fragrances, no lab derived preservatives, no parabens or nanoparticles either. You can get TGA approved protection without the use of any of these ingredients, and it’s also all done without animal testing.

Surfmud Ocean Addicts Sunscreen SPF30

Surf Mud have a strong affinity with the oceans, so it’s only fitting that their SPF formula is called ocean addicts. This is the original rub-in mineral sunscreen in the range. It’s a clear sunscreen powered by zinc oxide. It’s reef safe, Australian made and available in a small tube, a large tube and also a tin. Like all zinc sunscreen in our store, it creates a physical barrier on your skin to block the harmful effects of both UVA and UVB rays. It’s hydrating, sweat resistant and can be used on the face and the body.

Surfmud Mineral Sunscreen SPF50

A new formula to the Surfmud range in the summer of 2023/2024, they have managed to get a higher SPF coverage in a lighter feel formula. LIke Ocean Addicts, it’s a clear sunscreen using zinc oxide as the active ingredient.

Surfmud Surfbaby Sensitive Sunscreen

Packaged in the bright blue tube, this is an SPF30 formula created for not just babies, but for anyone with sensitive skin. If you’re used to the original formula of Surfbaby, this has now been revamped and has been dermatologist tested and backed by compelling sensitive skin HRIPT results.

Is Surfmud water resistant?

Yes, Surf Mud sunscreen is water resistant for 4 hours, however we always recommend reapplying after swimming, towel drying or surfing and every 2 hours. For optimum coverage, apply 20 minutes prior to sun exposure and ensure ample and even coverage.

About the Surfmud packaging

The plastic tubes that Surf Mud are packed in are not like your standard tubes. They are 100% recyclable (common) but they’re also 100% biodegradable and are made from 35% recycled materials. Each formula is also available in an aluminium tin.
