Traditionally, marshmallows are made using sugar, corn syrup & gelatin. A foam is created and it’s the gelatin that keeps the shape stable. Coloured marshmallows can also use artificial colours. Dandies have created delicious marshmallows without the gelatin, without any artificial colours or flavours and without corn syrup. For those following any kind of allergen diet along with the ethical options of choosing a vegan product, Dandies marshmallows are also gluten free, non-GMO, Kosher and nut free. They are manufactured in a peanut & tree nut free facility which is printed on the packaging.

Gelatin is replaced by tapioca starch and carrageenan, which is a thickening agent made from red seaweed. Dandies are vanilla flavoured, like you’re used to with mainstream products and you can use them exactly the same way. They go brown and melt over an open flame and they behave the same way for baking too.
