We had the pleasure of interviewing the founders and formulators of the Abode Cleaning Products range very early on in our business, over a decade ago now. One of the things we were impressed with was their dedication to creating unscented versions of products that come close to people’s skin and noses in particular, because people with sensitivities find it very difficult to wash their clothes with anything from the supermarket. Called ZERO in the Abode range, there is an unscented laundry liquid, fabric softener, baby laundry liquid and laundry soaker along with a dishwashing liquid and window cleaner.

Grey water is household water waste that comes from baths, showers and sinks. It’s basically all the water in your home other than toilet water. Some homes are set up to collect greywater and reuse it on your lawn or garden. If you have a grey water system set up in your home, you will want to be careful about the products you use, because anything that goes in your washing machine or down your sink could end up on your lawn, and potentially kill it.

A note about the Abode Bulk Cleaning Products

The bulk cleaning products in the 4 litre and 4kg tubs are in our store as a labour of love. We don’t make any money selling them. Because of this, they are excluded from earning or redeeming Eco Rewards points. Each one, when packed weighs close to 5kg, so can you only place 2 on an order as we have a 10kg limit. You can easily purchase multiples by placing multiple orders. We understand that the freight is expensive on these for many. We can’t afford to sell them unless we pass on the freight cost. We do understand how many people with sensitivities rely on these, we know because we have staff who rely on them. We appreciate you being respectful when discussing the cost of the freight and the lack of discounts on these items.
