We have been out of stock of many items from the Honest To Goodness brand for quite some time now. Today, that all changed with a trip down the freeway between our Central Coast warehouse and Sydney when we picked up a pallet of stock from the Honest To Goodness warehouse.

One of the biggest issues we face when selling health food online is the high shipping costs vs the lower profit margins, especially on low cost and bulk items. A lot of organic food is heavy and not too expensive (ie: a can of organic coconut milk retails for $3) but when we factor in the shipping costs to get it to our warehouse, it's hard to sell it at a reasonable price. Since we automatically take 5% off all products from our health food category when you spend $100 or more in the same transaction, there are many items, like the bpa free canned food, that we have not been able to keep on our shelves.

All that changed today.

We have made the decision that since we're only an 80 minute drive away, once every couple of weeks (or whenever necessary), we will personally visit the Sydney wholefoods stockists and collect the orders ourselves. Today we picked up a pallet full of stock from Honest To Goodness and also 3 boxes from Spiral Foods.

We now have a selection of organic nuts back on the shelf including both pesticide free almonds, certified organic almonds and raw cashews. There's also fresh stock of chickpeas, 5kg bags of coconut flour and a whole pile of bpa free canned coconut milk and coconut cream.

In Spiral, the organic tomato ketchup is back and stay tuned for several new products being added to the store next week including tamari, gluten free pasta, more bpa free canned foods from Eden Organics and organic pasta sauces from both Spiral & Eden.
