Natural dental products are one of those things that we find people can be reluctant to try, so with this in mind, and in particular, fluoride free toothpaste, we thought we'd share the bestsellers for 2014 to help you narrow down your choices. Here's the top 3 Natural, SLS Free and Fluoride Free Toothpaste sellers for 2014.

#1 Riddells Creek Mint Toothpaste (organic)

This one has a thin almost jelly consistency and it's sweeter than toothpaste normally is. Some people love it, some hate it. Since it's #1 on the list, the LOVERS have it!

#2 Pure & Green Mint Toothpaste Concentrate (organic)

This one is my personal favourite. At $15 a tube, it's the most expensive toothpaste when you look on the surface, but it's a concentrated gel and pumped out in set doses. You can get approx. 300 pumps out of a tube and brush your whole mouth with either 1 or 2 pumps (personal preference). With this taken in to consideration, it's actually the cheapest one in our store. Some people don't like the taste, but again, it's #2 on our list, so those numbers are small. This is the last product left in the Pure & Green range, who used to be known for their organic skin care range. Their range has since been reformulated and re-branded to be Zkin Organics which is available in our store.

It's a formula quite different than many of the other natural toothpaste products on the market with the second ingredient being coconut oil. There are blog posts on the internet about using coconut oil not only for oil pulling in dental health but also as a toothpaste. Its inclusion in this formula shows that is an effective ingredient. The formula also includes aloe vera juice, olive oil and a small selection of essential oils known for their therapeutic benefits in hygiene (peppermint oil, spearmint oil and clove bud oil)

#3 Jack & Jill Kids Toothpaste (strawberry)

Getting kids to brush their teeth can be an absolute nightmare. Finding a natural product they like, even harder, unless you're aware of Jack & Jill. There are 5 fruity flavours in the range and we've never had a complaint! They're also suitable for adults who cannot tolerate mint essential oils. If you're trying to decide what your kid may like, the order of the flavours are Strawberry, Banana, Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackcurrant.
